Award-winning live event painter Katherine Gressel travels worldwide to weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, family reunions, and corporate events, and captures the action in a live painting. Each painting serves as both entertainment for guests and a lasting memento of a special event. With over 4 years of experience, she has painted at such locales as The Plaza Hotel, The Brooklyn Museum, resorts in Palm Beach and Puerto Rico, and rustic gardens in the Hudson Valley. Event Painting by Katherine has been featured in the New York Times Style Section, The Knot Real Wedding section, and numerous wedding blogs and is a winner in the 2013 Chesapeake Bridal Awards. Guests love to watch Katherine capture the specific light, color, and mood of a space, and then their portraits, in a dynamic, creative composition. Through a detailed consultation, she will make sure your most important guests and most unique decorations appear in the painting. Katherine can also recreate a past event from one or several photos combined into an original composition, and paint more than one component of the same event (such as a wedding ceremony and reception). Having exhibited and worked in NYC galleries, Katherine brings the highest artistic standards when painting your event. Though 99% of the painting is usually finished by the end of a 4-hour party, Katherine's standard package includes touch up work at no extra charge, to make sure you are completely happy with the final result.
