Back in 1993, In New York City, I took photography as an elective believing it would be an easy "A". I was immediately in love and away I went with my Father's Canon Film camera. I took pictures of everything and anything. I learned lighting, I learned photo composition, and texture. Photography is a love, a passion, a way to convey a message and tell a story. I became more involved in photography when I moved to Florida and became a law enforcement officer. I began taking crime scene photo's and had to learn more about how to tell a story and take photo's in adverse weather and lighting conditions. I also became more heavily involved in photography throughout my marriage the birth of my children, till this day I take a few pictures of them each and every day. I was also in high demand at friends and families weddings, baby showers, sweet sixteens and any other events a friend or family member would have me go to......... So the story begins, after working in Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue and being a victim of the poor economy and lay-offs a friend suggested, I use my talent to capture people's fondest memories... Here I am, and loving every second of it and slowly growing in popularity, and continually honing my photography, all just by word of mouth and a few business cards. I never thought I'd be fortunate enough to turn a love and passion for photography into a way of capturing other peoples special moments for a living. My photography style is more photojournalistic, with a mix of portraiture and classic. I aim to catch the candid special moments, I'm currently expanding my portfolio with each wedding, each baby shower, each model shoot, and each and every shot I take, and I take it with pride knowing YOU, the client will cherish those moments for the rest of your lives... I'm also in the process of working with a partner in expanding our other venture, Proximity Entertainment group, to add videography, D.J. and all around event staffing, planning and entertainment..... But the Valentine Photography will always be me, just a guy and his camera running around passionate about taking pictures of other peoples greatest moments......
