"About The Day" was founded by Stephen Steinbach and Sonia Kaskowski in 1999 after they met through an online dating service. They shared much in common and began discussing their love of photography - and soon for each other as well. They were married soon after meeting and have never looked back. Stephen graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with a Fashion, Modeling, and Lifestyle Photography degree and Sonia has excelled at learning everything Stephen knows by working closely with him for the past 12 years. Her achievements and abilities are now, easily comparable to Stephen's. Their healthy competitive attitudes towards their work has them pushing each other to new heights and achievements, that alone they may not have ever pursued. After a few years of working primarily as commercial photographers, doing weddings on the side, they decided to combine their passions of travel, lifestyles, and beauty towards weddings and the wild spontaneity they generate. I spent years consulting with stores like Coach, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama, PacSun and Nine West. These brands have a strong identity, just like you. The music is very important to these companies. If you've ever walked through The Wynn Las Vegas, then you heard the programming that I designed. I take every wedding just as seriously. I get to know who you are and what your wedding will be like. Then I design the music for your whole event, not just the wedding and the dancing that comes afterward. The music that you hear in the background sets the tone of everything that happens that day. Make it special. Make it unique to you. That's what I do. I also work with the key players at your wedding; starting with you, your fiancé and your parents. I make sure that the caterers, photographer and anyone else who has a role to play is on the same page. In order to make sure that all of the events of the day to run smoothly, I coordinate the details. I MC the reception and get everyone involved when it comes to the party. But most of all, I take it personally. I want everything to be just as good as it can be...you should too.

Terri Doremus started Terri Dâ??s Catering in 1984 using the commercial kitchen that was in their home in Buckley, WA. Chuck Doremus got involved working with Greg Atwood of Atwood Catering in Kirkland, WA in 1998. Terri and Chuckâ??s youngest son Blair wanted to get into the catering business and worked with California Catering in Renton, WA in 1999. In 2000 Terri D's Catering purchased both Atwood Catering and California Catering. In 2002 Terri and Chuck decided to change the company name to ACT 3 Catering. They took the â??Aâ? from Atwood, the â??Câ? from California and the â??Tâ? from Terri Dâ??s to create the ACT and then added the number 3 to reflect the three companies now being one company. In 2007 Terri and Chuck consolidated all operations into the present 16,000 square ft building.
