Hippie Chick Bakery is a private cake studio, using the finest quality ingredients, organic and locally grown whenever possible. We make everything by hand from scratch and bake it fresh, that is why we truly are “quality with a conscience.”
While our regular cakes are made with fresh eggs, creamery butter, and other fine ingredients, we are also known far and wide for our Dairy-free, Egg-free, Vegan, Wheat-free and Gluten free cakes. Our facility is peanut and tree nut free. We can also accommodate other diet requirements by special order, such as soy and corn free, so please let us know what your needs are to see if we can help you too. We have been making these kinds of cakes for years, giving us the experience and the expertise to make a cake that looks as wonderful as it tastes. You may find other bakeries making these cakes, but only here will you find the high level of decorating skills to create the perfect cake that your special event deserves.
Weddings cakes are our passion, and we treat our wedding couples the way that we would want to be treated – we meet with you in a private consultation where you can taste our cakes and together we will design a wedding cake just for you. We limit our wedding cake bookings, so that we can take the time to give the personal service that you and your wedding deserve.
We have been a enviromentally conscious business from day one - for us it is not a trend to jump on, it is our mission. If the enviroment is a concern of yours as well, please know that at Hippie Chick Bakery, it is not just given lip service- it is a concern and factor in every decision we make. From using green energy when possible and using carbon offsets when we can't, composting waste, sourcing local ingredients, to recycling, and much more!

Delighted and honored to have been awarded Bride's Choice Awards for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & Market Survey of America's Best of the Best for the greater Keene Area, 2013! Being a practicing Justice of the Peace/Wedding Officiant for the State of New Hampshire, since 2004, is an incredible honor! I continually remind my children to surround themselves with vocations that bring this kind of satisfaction. Since becoming a JP, I have steadily increased the number of weddings I have officiated at, traveling throughout New Hampshire , Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine. Being an integral part of a coupleâ??s wedding experience is humbling. I love to write, and generally I put an entire ceremony together for a couple as part of our fee arrangement. I encourage couples to write their own vows, but if they would rather I write a litany, I am happy to do that as well. Tailoring a ceremony specifically to a couple is what I do, unless a couple wants a simple no frills ceremony or perhaps an elopement. My speciality is writing a ceremony that encompasses a unity piece crafted for each couple. My formula is to get to know my couples so that each and every element is reflective of their journey to marriage and their vision for the future. My speciality is a tree unity, which I have refined over the past 10 years. Please ask me about it. If I am not available to officiate for you, consider having a family member or close friend read a ceremony that I have custom written for you. Please contact me with any questions on how this can be done. My fee is based upon the complexity of the ceremony, the venue, the amount of people, travel time and arranging to be present at a rehearsal. Please do not hesitate to call me with questions. As a NH JP, officiating in MA. requires a waiver form that can be faxed to the Secretary of Stateâ??s office. There is no extra charge for this waiver. I've officiated in Topsfield, Newburyport, Holyoke, Cohasset, Wellesley,Templeton, Stow, Manchester-by-the Sea, Greenfield, Chatham, Gloucester, Boston, Salisbury, Tewksbury and Georgetown. I have also officiated in Quechee,VT, Stratton Mtn., VT and Saco & York Beach, Maine. Because there is not reciprocity from state to state, some states require more for out-of-state JPs to officiate in their states. Just ask me and I'll tell you what my experience has been. I've officiated in every county of New Hampshire. Some of the venues I frequent are Cathedral of the Pines, The Shattuck, The Bedford Village Inn, Zorvino Vineyards, Keene Country Club, Stonewall Farm and Alyson's Orchard.
