We are very easy to work with and we build a great rapport with not only you, but with your friends, family, and other guests as well. At many of the weddings we’ve done, we’ve been told how great we are to work with, and no one has even seen a picture yet! Don’t underestimate the influence a photographer can have on your day. Make sure you are hiring someone that you feel completely comfortable with. Your photographer is with you most of, if not all of, your wedding day. You will typically spend more time with your photographer than any other person on your wedding day (think about that for a minute)!! That’s why I always tell my clients that your photographer should be someone that you could see yourself being good friends with if they were someone you met under other circumstances. Spend your wedding day with friends and family; not friends, family, and “your photographer”. On a more personal level, I have been into photography since high school (but I’m not admitting to how many years ago high school was!). I finally gave in to my dream of being a professional photographer and started Aarnes Photography. I have continued pushing my dream, learning more about photography with schooling, seminars, lots of books, and becoming friends with other photographers. I teach basic photography classes through community education, and I typically have a camera with me pretty much everywhere I go. My wife Wendy is my assistant and works with me on weddings. She usually does the posing for formals and is great at helping to keep your day moving along smoothly. In addition, she usually has great ideas for wedding/reception decorations, photo albums, colors, and a multitude of other things as well. She is also my 2nd photographer, usually during the ceremony and part of the reception. We have a daughter, a son, and a golden retriever.
