I was told that photography wasn?t for me due to a permanent injury from a car accident that left me with a paralyzed right arm. So early on, I was out to challenge the idea that photography was a two-armed art. Well what they expected was a two-armed art medium became my one-armed passion and now profession. ?I am proud to prove, it can be done.
I love people and the characteristics that make each person unique. You know, your bride?s laugh or the crinkle in his nose... the elements of life that wake us up every morning. So I began rolling film with my feet (no joke - it made for quite a funny scene in the dark room ) and - yes insert cheesy photography language - I fell in love with the art of photography. The switch to digital made a couple things easier, no more crazy circus tricks necessary, but I still have some fun techniques up my sleeve.
