Grouse Mountain Lodge, located in the resort town of Whitefish, Montana, completed a renovation in 2013 and boasts 143 guest rooms, day spa, indoor pool, outdoor Jacuzzi tubs, and dry sauna. Grouse Mountain Lodge features 9 spacious meeting rooms with a distinct Montana feel, for a total of 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The largest is our 3,600 square foot Continental Divide Room. We can accommodate groups up to 250 people. The private deck off the Glacier Room is adjacent to the Whitefish Lake Golf Course, and provides a perfect setting for a rehearsal dinner or farewell breakfast. Open seasonally is our Covered Pavilion that offers 3,200 square feet of outdoor event space. Event planning is easy with the assistance of our Convention Services Manager and experienced banquet staff. The Wine Room is our 'Restaurant for Hire,' and features gourmet dining with an award-winning wine list. Our professional catering staff continually receives rave reviews from our Corporate, Association, and Incentive clients. Glacier Park Lodge, located in East Glacier Park, Montana, was built almost a century ago by the Great Northern Railway. Situated on the Blackfeet Reservation, the hotel site was purchased from the Piegan, a tribe of the Blackfeet Nation. This site was in a settlement then known as Midvale. When the present railway depot was built in 1912, the area was renamed Glacier Park Station and then became known as East Glacier Park in 1950. The immense timbers that support the Lodge were around 500 to 800 years old when they were cut. There are a total of 60 timbers. They are 36 to 42 inches in diameter, 40 feet long, and all retain their bark. The timbers in the lobby are Douglas fir and the verandahs are supported by Cedars from Washington. Today, 161 guest rooms can accommodate over 500 people. Visitors can enjoy the Great Northern Dining Room, Empire Bar, Empire Cafe Espresso Stand, gift shop featuring local Blackfeet crafts, Red Bus Tours, an outdoor swimming pool, a nine-hole golf course, a nine-hole pitch 'n putt course, and Remedies Day Spa featuring massages and other relaxing treatments. Glacier Park Lodge has three meeting rooms and an expansive back lawn ideal for a tented reception.
