Belmont Mansion is the largest house museum in Tennessee, and one of the few nineteenth century homes where the story evolves around a woman. This Italiain-villa style house was built in 1853 by Joseph and Adelicia Acklen. It was over 19,000 square feet at the time it was completed in 1859. As one can imagine, the house has quite a history. Belmont Mansion is a wonderful venue for weddings, receptions, and social events. We boast an extensive collection of original artwork, period furnishings, and usual architectural features. One element the mansion is known for is a large staircase. This staircase descends into an elegant Grand Salon, a perfect entrance for any bride. The entire downstairs of the mansion is open for your guests to view as well. Wedding ceremonies and receptions are hosted inside the masnion in the Grand Salon. We also host outdoor ceremonies in our front garden area. Belmont Mansion's weddings & rentals are managed by Rev. Brandon Rich of Rich Events. Rev. Rich is available to assit you in the booking process as well as the planning and coordinating of your wedding and can provide officiating services personally or by way of his network of associate ministers.
