Alda has an undergraduate degree in plant studies from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston(1968) and a Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (1971). At Penn she studied Design with Nature with visionaries Ian McHarg, Neil Welliver and Frank Kowasaki. Alda is passionate about never ending, fragrant flowers and seemless, timeless, happy floral events.
