In 2007 Rev. Engman was ordained in the Christian Church (DOC) as a full-time pastor. From the start he loved weddings! It started when a few friends Joel had grown up with asked him to perform their wedding ceremony. They (and others) apparently loved his warm style that made the ceremony personal and uniquely theirs. Before he knew it others were calling to ask him to officiate their weddings and between 2010-2011 Joel had officiated 65 wedding ceremonies in churches, outdoors, restaurants, event centers, wineries, and community parks all over northeast Ohio! Joel has never understood clergy and churches that put stringent stipulations on couples before they will consider officiating their ceremonies. Joel's philosophy mirrors that of the church he serves: shockingly welcoming. Joel currently serves as lead pastor of Harmony Springs Christian Church of Green, Ohio.
