Mansion History Modeled after Christ Church in England, the Grand Mansion was completed in 1903 by architect William G. Rantoul for Charles Goodnough Rice and Anne Proctor Rice of Boston. Today, the mansion still honors its builders by remaining in impeccable condition. It continues to awe all who enter through its beautifully crafted hand carved doors.
