Fountains for all Occasions

Fountains for all Occasions was established in January, 2005. After experiencing a chocolate fountain at a wedding reception in the fall of 2004, owners Dar and Paul Lester decided to look into the possibility of starting a chocolate fountain rental business in the Birmingham area. Upon completion of a market research, they decided to go ahead and purchase one fountain. With their one fountain and a borrowed fountain, they rented a booth at the Southern Bridal Show @ the BJCC in January. Although a bit overwhelming for their first event, afterwards they were even more convinced that they had made the correct decision to embark into this line of business. The Lester’s believe in doing business in a very professional manner and have already been labeled by some clients of offering the best customer service of any vendor. Included in the rental fee will be an attendant for the event. Dar and Paul are very “hands on” in their ownership and it is likely that one of them may be there serving as the attendant. The attendant will be there to set-up the fountain, assist the guests and keep the fountain clean, breakdown the fountain and remove it from the premises. There are absolutely no operational or cleaning concerns for their clients.
Since the start up of the company, the Lester’s have been very fortunate to work at some outstanding venues. Just to name a few, they have done events at the Gabrella Manor, The Sheraton Downtown, The Wynfrey, The Harbert Center, The Summit Club, Park Lane, Healthsouth, Pelham Civic Complex, Vulcan Park and Reo’s. They have also been extremely fortunate to work with some of the most outstanding caterers in the business. Fountains for all Occasions has had the honor of working with internationally known Kathy G & Co. on a 1600 person event at the Birmingham Museum of Art and several other smaller functions. The have also worked with some of the top local catering groups such as: Café Iz, Angels Catering, Manor Catering, Chef Michael Glenn, On our Way Catering and others. Now we have relocated to the Mobile area and are anxious to bring our services to south Alabama. Dar says, “I like to make people happy”. For those who know her and those that don’t and will get to know her, that’s her main goal in life. Paul says, “every event is a celebration….that’s what makes this so much fun”.
In January of 2007 we were honored to be contracted for the Governor’s Inaugural Ball held at the BJCC. We took five fountains with us using milk, white and dark Belgium chocolate. We served over 3500 people that evening and had a wonderful time. It is certainly an occasion that ranks at the top of our list for events that we’ve where we have been chosen to be a vendor. Chocolate fountains can be used for any type of celebration. One generally associates the fountains with weddings, but we’ve done proms, business meetings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, birthdays, formal parties, Christmas parties, beauty pageants, grand openings, charity events, etc. Besides offering our basic Belgium milk, white and dark chocolates, we now can provide thirteen new exciting colors. Although our business originated in Birmingham, we have recently relocated to the Mobile area. Our focus will naturally be in south Alabama and the Gulf Coast region. However we will certainly consider servicing potential clients in Birmingham and beyond depending on our availability. We've serviced events on Beale Street in Memphis and have a wedding scheduled this summer in Vicksburg, MS. As we like to say, “Experience the chocolate fountain”.
