Abigail Seymour’s photographs have appeared in numerous national publications, including the New York Times, the News & Observer, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Weddings Unveiled, and The Bride's Book. One of her photographs was selected for the cover of a classical wedding music CD produced by Sony BMG, and two weddings of hers are currently on newsstands in the premiere issue of Real Simple Weddings. A graduate of New York University’s photography and imaging program at Tisch School of the Arts, Abigail has also studied and lived in France, Egypt, Italy, and Spain, and traveled to Cuba in 2002 courtesy of an Emerging Artist grant from the North Carolina Arts Council. She has also studied at the Maine Photographic Workshops with National Geographic photographer Joe McNally. For three years Abigail lived in Madrid, Spain, during which time she directed three plays, wrote several short stories, worked as a translator, and photographed throughout the country. She walked El Camino de Santiago, a centuries-old pilgrimage road which stretches 500 miles across the north of Spain. Her written narrative of the experience was published alongside essays by Anne Lamott, Maya Angelou, and Diane Ackerman in A Woman's Path: Women's Best Spiritual Travel Writing. Abigail is an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, and has studied with Joe Buissink, Marcus Bell, and Denis Reggie. Abigail lives in Greensboro with her husband Paul and their two children, Joaquin and Lila Mae.
